Summary: Operates multi-line telephone system to answer incoming calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Answers telephone, responds to inquiries, directs caller to appropriate personnel, and initiates triage slips for response by medical personnel.

• Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
• Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information.
• Registers patients by verifying that patient's record is up to date and accurate. Makes appropriate changes in computer system and on patient's chart.
• Greets and directs patients, sales people, and visitors.
• Schedules appointments and enters appointment date, time and reason for being seen into computerized scheduler updates appointment calendars.
• Takes payments for services and products. Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and collating.

Experience:

• Medical Receptionist: 1 year
• Required work authorization:
• CNA experience preferred

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
